Plenty of enthusiastic children in the Lamontville community have joined the chess club run after school on a weekly basis. The class aims to teach the basic skills of chess and provides a platform for children to play against one another. The club is run in the container library that was set up at the Lamontville Good News Centre. Due to space restriction children need to register to join. A six week instructional course is attended and those children that have shown skill in the game are kept on to teach a new group of learners.
