There is nothing like music to move the soul. Martin Luther once said: “Beautiful music is the art of the prophets that can calm the agitations of the soul; it is one of the most magnificent and delightful gifts God has given us.” This ‘art of the prophets’ is especially enjoyed by our local Zulu communities. So in order to bring a message of faith, hope and love to them, we would present a ‘music day’ in a rented hall in one of the townships.
This also gives our Zulu volunteers a platform to express their ‘God given’ musical talents and connect with their local communities in a way that resonates with them. Music days are supported by all volunteers that are serving in the area at the time and our overseas volunteers especially enjoy the experience of real ‘African’ music in an authentic ‘African’ setting.
