A number of the youth at the COPT Centre’s had the opportunity to attend Career day which was hosted by Whizz Kids United. The youth had the opportunity to meet up with tertiary study institutions to discuss their study plans after completing matric. The day ended with an unexpected soccer match on Whizz Kid United’s state of the art Astro turf football pitch. The day was enjoyed by all and COPT thanks Whizz Kids for hosting and inviting COPT to their career day.
The Whizz Kids United career day was followed up by another day at the Lamontville Centre where youth were given the opportunity to do interest and personality tests helping them with their decision on what to study. Youth were assisted with their applications to study and given guidelines to funding and bursaries available. They were also exposed to careers less known and what they needed to achieve to follow these career choices.
