Clermont Good News Centre
The Clermont Good News Centre is our most recent Centre which was completed in 2013. The funds were lovingly supplied by a sister-trust in the USA. The main focus at this Community Centre is on adult education and is encouraging local folks to take charge of self-development within their own community.
In 2014 COPT hired a program director. Together with other members of this growing community, they are addressing the needs in their community through the introduction of various programs. These include, Bible and fitness classes, sewing and cooking classes. Sunday School, junior and senior youth groups, English extra classes, yoga and music classes.
We also run a soup kitchen in the nearby Kwadabeke HIV & TB Clinic. This is done on a weekly basis in order to provide healthy nutrition to a very poor community.
